Do you enjoy beautiful table settings?
I always have. Whether it’s breakfast or dinner, I’ve always taken pleasure in gathering with friends around a carefully prepared table. Passing around a big salad bowl to share, conversations adding flavor to the dishes, and laughter enlivening the table—these are among life’s most beautiful moments.
For me, setting a table is the simplest way to express love.
Life seems to have guided me down this path from the beginning. While I once dreamed of a life surrounded by books, authors, and literature, I found myself in the world of the kitchen—bringing along my books and my love for literature. And what a discovery it has been!
Here, I must mention the long-standing work that has shaped both me and Somnia. For many years, I’ve provided design and graphic support to the ceramics, porcelain, glass, and enamel industries. Sometimes creating patterns based on our own tastes, other times fulfilling our clients’ dreams and requests, we print these designs using the screen-printing technique. Screen printing is a demanding and traditional method. All designs created with this technique become lifelong companions when applied to porcelain. I, too, have dedicated a lifetime to art.
Now, at my son’s request, we are stepping into a new journey.
Somnia is a brand born of years of dedication and effort—one that, in a way, spoke itself into existence. It’s a breath of life that wraps the wisdom of the past in the courage of the future, nourished by literature. A story that believes in the healing power of art and speaks the language of the earth…

I set out on this journey with the grace of Jane Austen, the depth of Virginia Woolf, the passion of Marguerite Duras, and the courage of Simone de Beauvoir.
This is a relay race… In the part that falls to me, I hope to continue with literature, peace, and beautiful people by my side.
